Scholarships
The Edith Macias Vann Southern California Chapter
CA-7 awards three five hundred dollar scholarships each year to
North County high school seniors.
One five hundred dollar
scholarship is the Sarah Thorton Memorial Scholarship awarded in her memory from
her donation to the chapter specifically for funding education for a local high
school senior going on to college.
Two five hundred dollar
scholarships are awarded by the chapter.
Application packets
are sent to the local high schools in January. Applicants may obtain the forms
and instructions for submitting their application from their school guidance counselor.
Completed applications need to be submitted to the chapter by late March. Due
date will be specified in the packet.
